Six days in Kenya’s wild north — tracking black rhino on foot across the private conservancies of the Laikipia plateau, then south to Samburu for the rare northern five: reticulated giraffe, Grévy’s zebra, Somali ostrich, beisa oryx and the gerenuk.

Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi to Laikipia

Fly north over the Rift Valley to a private conservancy on the Laikipia plateau, in time for an evening game drive.

Days 2–3: Rhino Tracking on Foot

Two days of walking safaris with armed rangers and master trackers, approaching black and white rhino on foot — plus night drives for aardvark and leopard.

Day 4: To Samburu

A scenic transfer into the acacia-dotted lands of the Samburu people along the Ewaso Ng’iro river.

Day 5: The Northern Five

Full-day safari for Samburu’s special species, ending with sundowners on a kopje overlooking sacred Mount Ololokwe.

Day 6: Departure

Fly back to Nairobi for your onward connection.
