Singita Kwitonda Lodge

1 min read

Set on 178 acres along the very boundary of Volcanoes National Park, Singita Kwitonda is the gorilla circuit’s grandest address — eight vast suites of volcanic stone, hand-woven ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass framing Sabyinyo, Gahinga and Muhabura.

Why We Love It

Every suite has a fireplace, a heated plunge pool and its own conservation story: the lodge funded a million-tree nursery that is actively expanding gorilla habitat along its boundary. Singita’s legendary food and service do the rest.

The Experience

Gorilla trekking briefings happen over barista coffee; afternoons bring the conservation room, e-bike rides through the foothill villages, or simply a long soak watching clouds wrap the volcano summits.

Need to Know

Two to three nights is ideal. Permits ($1,500) are limited to 96 per day across all of Rwanda — we secure them up to a year out for peak season. Kwitonda crowns our Gorillas & Golden Monkeys in Style journey. Read our Volcanoes National Park guide.
