Overview
The ultimate East African odyssey: thirteen days across three countries, from cheetah hunts at dawn in the Masai Mara and the endless plains of the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater, ending with the most moving wildlife encounter of all — an hour among Rwanda’s mountain gorillas.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi
Arrive in Nairobi and unwind at a historic residence among the Karen forests.
Days 2–4: Masai Mara
Three days in a private conservancy bordering the reserve — big cats without the crowds, walking safaris and Maasai-guided sundowners.
Days 5–7: Serengeti
Cross into Tanzania and fly to the Serengeti, following the herds wherever the migration leads, with an optional balloon safari at dawn.
Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater
Descend into the crater for a final day among the big five before returning to Arusha.
Day 9: To Kigali
Fly to Rwanda and drive into the bamboo foothills of the Virunga volcanoes.
Days 10–11: Gorillas & Golden Monkeys
Two treks in Volcanoes National Park — one unforgettable hour with a mountain gorilla family, and a morning among golden monkeys.
Day 12: Lake Kivu
A day of rest on the shores of one of Africa’s great lakes — boat rides, coffee-farm tours, or simply the view.
Day 13: Departure from Kigali
Return to Kigali for your homeward flight.
