Lake Mburo National Park Wildlife Safari has a lot to offer; the park is basking with variety of wildlife, Lake Mburo National Park has large areas of wetlands which has over 69 species of mammals most notably; the Zebra. There over 310 bird species in Lake Mburo such as-papyrus gonolek, francolin, lapwing, blue headed Coucal, black collared barbet, Abyssinian ground hornbill just to mention a few.
Other Activities
Fishing is another interesting sport done at this park with Nile perch, tilapia, cat fish, and mudfish among the varieties there. The park has mainly wooded savannah with Acacia trees dominating the land scape, you will be in for a treat for the game drives as the vegetation and the wildlife is amazing to watch, apart from the game drives, the park offers night game drives to spot the Bush babies, leopards, lions, porcupines and other nocturnal animals- the night game drive take a minimum of two hours.
Nature walks are also on the itinerary in this park as it is the only park in Uganda where you can take nature walks with in the park boundaries- you can sport hippos return to their pools after grazing, hyenas returning to their dens, Zebras, Topi, Buffalos, antelopes, butterflies, birds. You can hike the hills and view Lake Mburo and the other 9 lakes around the park.
Horse riding is another interesting activity in the Park- Mihingo lodge has a stable of horses and if one is interested in having a game ride on the horse back then they can book in at the lodge. For environmentalists this is such a treat as there is no pollution and no noise from the car engines to unsettle the game.
Bicycle safaris are also done in this park, another wild way of exploring the park and surrounding areas. Literally you ride alongside the Zebras, antelopes, buffalos on your mountain bikes be sure to carry plenty of energy foods and water as some of the trails are quite challenging but fun. A cruise on the boat is a must as you will get to see plenty of aquatic animals – Hippos, Crocodiles, and water bucks – plenty of birds

The two days safari which is packed with various activities to choose from, see Zebras, Antelopes, Bush pigs, Hippos, Leopard, Buffalos, Antelopes, Crocodiles, Birds, Lions and all the other activities at the lowest cost possible.
Day One: Travel to Lake Mburo, game drive
Your driver guide will pick you from your lodge or Entebbe airport in the morning. Begin your journey to Lake Mburo national park. You will have a stopover at the equator, take some photos and some refreshments before you continue your journey.
The journey is approximately 4 hours- check into your preferred lodge, refresh -have lunch. After lunch, take a boat cruise around the lake- viewing animals in the water and along the banks Crocodiles, schools of Hippos, plenty of birds and the beautiful scenery.
Return to your lodge refresh-have a late afternoon game drive across the Lake Mburo national park savanna, drive through the acacia trees seeing an abundance of animals such as zebras, buffaloes, and plenty of antelopes along the way.
Return to the lodge relax as you wait for dinner, overnight as wait for the morning activities
Day Two: Morning game safari / Kampala
Have early breakfast and set off for a game drive across the savanna within the park. You will see early risers so keep your camera open to take photos on top of your safari vehicle. The game drive will be at snail’s pace for you not to miss anything.
After all the day’s activities, we check out and drive back to Kampala/ Entebbe. Having lunch at the equator and also visiting the famous Buganda drum makers at Mpambire. We arrive in late afternoon in Kampala/ Entebbe to your accommodation. END OF SAFARI
