This safari takes you to the Ishasha Sector found in Queen Elizabeth National park. You stay here lasts for 3days and 2 days. It is here where the amazing tree climbing Lions are found. This tour counts as one of the must do while on your stay in Uganda.
There are also a number of bird species found within the Ishasha Plains which you marvel at.

Day 1- Transfer to Ishasha Wilderness:

Start your journey from Kampala at 6:30am heading westwards towards the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth National Park for the Tree Climbing Lions. This area of Queen Elizabeth park has fewer visitors but is a truly rewarding. You will have your drive with no crowds of other vehicles elsewhere, giving you the best opportunity to experience the African wilderness on the Ishasha Plains. This drive from Kampala lasts about 7 hours, reaching your chosen lodge at lunchtime and relaxing. Have Lunch and head out for a game drive in search of the tree -climbing lions of Ishasha sector.

On your way, you will see large buffalo herds, elephants, antelopes, jobs, warthogs and leopards. This sector stands out in East Africa as the place where this trait of lions is found. The lions are often seen lazily sleeping on the tree branches. Later after the drive, head back to your lodge to relax and dinner.

Day 2 – Drive for the Tree climbing Lions:

Morning Breakfast at your lodge and set off for a morning game drive coming across elephants and  buffaloes, birds, antelopes, and you are mostly likely to be lonely drivers (only vehicle) in the sector. This drive gives you chance to catch every other detail you might have missed the previous day. In the afternoon, head out for lunch.

In the late afternoon, embark on a  game drive heading down towards Lake Edward’s floodplains where you might see the shoebill stork. Take this game drive if time permits. Carefully, keep your eyes open for you will be at assistance of the Wildlife expert with you  to help spot out an occasional leopard and more of the tree climbing lions. At the end of the day, head back to the lodge, relax and have dinner as you prepare for the next day.

Day 3 – Ishasha and departure for Kampala:

Have a morning breakfast and depart for Kampala driving through the Ishasha plains as you see more birds and wildlife, plus hippos with in the Ishaha sector. You will proceed and have lunch, drive for Kampala arriving in the evening. You may have a stopover at the equator for photography.
