Full Itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Murchison Falls National Park.
Enjoy breakfast at your hotel in the morning, or for those arriving at Entebbe international airport, expect your driver guide to pick you up and begin the journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Drive through several towns along the way before having an optional stopover at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where they breed the endangered White rhinoceros. The sanctuary exists to preserve the White Rhinos in the country. Tracking the Rhinos is an activity you can choose, for which the price is USD 50 per person. Take a lunch break in Masindi, which is a 2-3 hours’ drive from the park. The drive in Budongo forest gives you a chance to see monkeys, baboons and numerous birds.
Proceed to the National Park. If you arrive at the park on time, you may go for an evening game drive to get acquainted with tomorrow’s game drive. Once you have reached your preferred choice of accommodation, relax, freshen up, and await dinner.

Day 2: Early morning wildlife drive and Nile boat Cruise.
Start your second day of the 3-day Murchison Falls safari with breakfast. Thereafter, drive out into the wilderness in search of hunting cats and early risers. The game drive kicks off around 6:30 am. While on this Uganda safari, keep alert for the breathtaking wildlife, including hyenas, antelopes, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and lions, among others. This game viewing moment will give you a chance to see the big 5!
Additionally, the abundant wildlife offers opportunities to observe a variety of bird species such as egrets, ibises, shoebill storks, marabou storks, and kingfishers, amongst others. During the game drive, you can even unwind by having a picnic on the riverbank while listening to the distinctive sounds of the hippos.
At the end of the morning game drive, head back to the lodge for a lunch break. This is a time to prepare for the afternoon boat cruise. You have a chance to carry a packed lunch or dine in-house before going for the launch cruise on the Nile. The amazing launch cruise brings you an up-close view of the Nile Crocodiles, buffaloes, waterbucks, giraffes, Uganda kobs, elephants and much more of the wildlife. The boat cruise also affords numerous opportunities to spot birds such as goliath herons, kingfishers, weaver birds, bee-eaters, cattle egrets, and enjoy the scenic views on the banks. When at the waterfalls’ bottom, you can do as much photography as you need, gazing at the beauty around. A trek to the top of the falls is also a probable option. At the end of the day, drive back to the lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Return to Entebbe/ Kampala.
Rise up to an early breakfast and start on another early morning game drive. Drive towards the top of the waterfall. While on the hike to the top of the falls, you’ll witness the mighty River Nile forcefully flowing through a narrow 7-meter ravine (gorge), plummeting down 42 feet and creating a deafening roar that creates water splashes rising to 10 meters high.
This is a remarkable display of Mother Nature’s power. Afterwards, drive back to Kampala or Entebbe, getting there in the evening.
