Day 1: Transfer to Kidepo from Kampala.
Your safari to Kidepo National Park starts early in the morning with breakfast and pick up from your hotel by your guide at 6 am. The drive to this remote yet marvelous place is quite long but enriching, taking about 9-10 hours. The expedition starts from Kampala or any pick-up point, crossing Karuma Falls Bridge, through Gulu town, and Kitgum to the park. While on your way, you will marvel at the beautiful green plant cover of Northern Uganda amidst the arid-like areas. Arriving at your accommodation place in the late evening, relax and have dinner while preparing for the next day’s game drives
Day 2: Game drive and nature cultural walk.
Start your morning with a well-prepared breakfast with a perfect view of the sun rising in the beautiful skies. Link up with your driver thereafter for the game drive. This ushers you to the varied species of mammals within the park. Some of these include: Cheetahs, Lions, Buffaloes, Elephants, Ugandan Kobs, among others. These are mainly found in the Narus valley. Later in the afternoon, return to your lodge for lunch and relax. This is later preceded by a guided nature cultural walk where you meet the happy Karamajongs and Ik tribe. You will be amazed at their culture, among which the Manyatta housing styles stand out. Return to your lodge for dinner, relax, and overnight stay
Day 3: Depart for Kampala.
After the early morning breakfast, prepare for departure back to Kampala. You may pay a visit to the Kanangorok hot springs and also have an Ostrich drive. Don’t forget to take some photographs from this spot.
